Define or Modify section type

Purpose

To provide user designed styles for sections. The number of lines (up to four) and boxes (up to 25) can be chosen with settings to control the appearance of the section regarding layers, colours and wording etc. Note that user defined section types are stored together with the standard supplied ones in the secbox.ini file in the KTF user support folder and should have a backup made so that there is a record of any additional section types.  

 

Type A has 1 box with 2 lines, type B has 3 boxes each with 2 lines, type C has 1 box with 3 lines etc.

Operation

A dialogue with similar functions to the one featured in Sections, Draw Section appears. To design a new type click New...

Enter the number of boxes required.

Enter the number of lines required for each box.

Type in a section type name.

Overwrite the default text (Title of line 1 etc.) for every line in the box with your own wording e.g. "Design level". If upon drawing the boxes they appear too wide or short adjust the "Width scale". The height of boxes is controlled by the Box scale setting.

 

Title Colours...      

Sets layer and colours for datum and title information etc.

 

Width scale:

Set as 1 as the default, 1.5 will widen the boxes by 1.5 times and 0.5 will shorten them.

 

Layers...      

Sets layers for box titles, data and text.

 

Decimals...      

Controls the number of decimal places for displaying chainages and levels.

 

Box scale: controls the height of a box in a similar way to Width scale above.
