Levels

Purpose

To add spot levels into the drawing. These may be existing/survey levels or proposed levels. Note that level blocks are inserted at the Z value but this is not actually used as KTF routines will read the level attribute value. Levels are represented as PL blocks (or blocks with the same attribute structure of Level, point Number and Code).

 

Operation

Set the layer and nominal scale. Pick a series of 2D locations and enter the level value for each one. If you use an appropriate object snap on a 3D entity then the returned Z value will appear as a default. Optionally you can tick the "Level from picked text" on and then select text entities and the level values will be read from them.
