Purpose

To highlight flat lengths on existing or proposed cross sections.

 

Operation

Select all the cross sections to be analysed (this is to "grab" all the datum lines)

Pick one cross section Polyline (so that only 2D Polylines on this layer will be recognised)

Select all the cross sections again (this time to "grab" all the section Polylines)

Set the three ranges of gradient and associated output layers and colours.

Pick a location typically a metre or so above one of the datum lines to locate the height of the colour bars.

If drawing a colour key pick a point to fix its location (right justified).
