Purpose

To create a model defined by a 3D Polyline for example in railway, flood or river related projects. The model will be horizontal at right angles to the 3D Polyline.

For intended use, only gentle curves are expected otherwise overlap conditions will give unsuitable results.

 

Operation

Select the 3D Polyline

Enter the interval for regular offset interval

Enter offset value

Enter the name of the model to be created.

 

For best results the ratio of offset interval to offset value should be around 1:2.5 as in the defaults.
