Purpose

To provide a means of transferring a vertical alignment drawn on a section to another section that has been drawn with a different vertical magnification. A vertical geometry file (.vtg) must have been created from the original 2D Polyline representing the alignment.

 

Operation

Pick the datum line of the section that the .vtg file is to be drawn onto and choose the layer. The alignment is drawn and if annotation is also required enter "Yes" at the dialogue. Note that if the vertical magnification of this section is different to that of the one that the .vtg file was created from the curved elements will be represented as a series of chords and a dialogue will prompt for the interval.
