Purpose

To create a section by picking any 3D Polyline (except when spline fitted) defining existing ground, pipe, design or whatever the 3D Polyline is representing vertex to vertex.

 

Operation

Pick the 3D Polyline and enter the output file name.

To draw the section use menu item Sections, Draw Section.

Note that if you want to write a .vtg file from a 3D Polyline use menu item Design, Vertical, Extract Geometry.
